Discover Scholarship Program
Attention Juniors with at least a 2.75 GPA.  Demonstrates accomplishments in community service and leadership and has faced a significant roadblock or challenge.  10 scholarships of $40,000 each.

National Wild Turkey Federation Scholarship
Seniors must be members of the National Wild Turkey Federation.  They must have a 3.0 GPA, be involved in school activities and hold a hunting license.

Society of Women Engineers - Rocky Mountain Section
One $500 scholarship is available for female seniors interested in pursuing engineering or computer science. Applications available in the counseling office or at www.swe-rms.org

KFC Colonel’s Scholars
Students must have a 2.75 GPA, be pursuing a bachelor’s degree and must demonstrate financial need to apply.  Awards are up to $20,000.  The online scholarship application will be available at www.kfcscholars.org.  from

University of Wyoming Honors Program
This scholarship is in addition to the Hathaway Scholarship.  Awards vary from $1,000 to $4,000 per year.  Students must have a 3.7 GPA OR a 28 ACT OR a 1240 SAT.  Go to http://uwadmnweb.uwyo.edu/Honors/ for an application.

Casper College Visual Arts Department Scholarships
Visual Arts Activity Scholarship and Visual Arts School of Study Scholarship: 2.0 overall or better.  Art major and Portfolio Review (This is a detailed review Check with you Art teacher or the Counseling Office for details.  Attend: Portfolio Day, Saturday, February 6th from 1:00 - 4:00 in room 116 of the Goodstein Visual Arts Center at Casper College.

The American Legion High School Oratorical Scholarship Program
“A Constitutional Speech Contest” Contestants present an 8 to 10 minute oration on the US Constitution with emphasis on the rights and responsibilities of citizenship. Contest dates are Local: Feb. 7, 2010, Regional: Feb. 21, State: Feb 28, National: April 9-11, all contests other than nationals will take place in Casper.  The state winner and chaperone will have all expense paid trip to nationals in Indianapolis. Awards range from $50.00 to $18,000

Ronald McDonald House Charities National Scholarship
Four different scholarship programs are available for Asians, African Americans, Hispanics and others.  Along with an application, students need to submit a transcript, personal statement, letter of recommendation and parents IRS form W2.  Applications are available on line at www.rmhc.org

Rotary/Better Business Bureau Four-Way Scholarship Award
This scholarship/Essay contest is available to Juniors  and Seniors. The author of the winning essay will receive a $5000 scholarship to the school of their choice. Three Casper winners will also receive awards of $1,000, $500 & $250.  Information regarding this opportunity is available from the counseling office or through John O'Connor, College Selection Facilitator. Your 1500 to 2000 word essay may be returned to the counseling office.

Cancer Survivor College Scholarship – Great West Division
Applicants must be diagnosed with cancer and have a 2.5 GPA.   Students must call 1-800-500-3272 or go to cancer.org for an application.

W.A.E.O.P. - Scholarship
Wyoming Association of Educational Office Personnel Scholarship available to students attending a Wyoming Community College or the University of Wyoming for $500. Financial need, initiative, scholastic achievement, quality of application and a 2.0 GPA or better.  Applications are available in the counseling office.

Alpha Delta Kappa – Beta Chapter Scholarship
Applicants must write a brief essay and have two letters of reference to apply for this $300 scholarship.  Come to the counseling office to pick up an application.

Wyoming Game Wardens Association Scholarship
Two $350 Scholarships are available for students with financial need.  Applications are available in the counseling office.

WREA Lineman Scholarship
One or more $3,000 scholarships available to students interested in the electric industry.  Applications are available in the counseling office.

Wyoming Trucking Association Scholarship Program
Students must be planning on attending a Wyoming school (trade, community college, or The University). Students should be planning to pursue a course of study which will lead to a career in the Highway Transportation Industry. Approved courses of study include: business management, accounting, diesel mechanics, office management and procedures, computer technology, industry safety, and truck driving.  Come to the counseling office for an application. Deadline: March 3, 2010

Scholar Athlete Milk Mustache of the Year - Sammy Awards
25 high school senior student athletes nationwide will receive a $7,500 scholarship for achievements in academics, athletics, community service and leadership.  Go on-line to www.bodybymilk.com and click on Sammy 2010 to apply.

High Plains Power Member Scholarships
$1000 scholarships are available to current members or dependents receiving electricity from High Plains Power.  You need two letters of recommendation and a 2.5 GPA.  Applications in the counseling office or log on to www.highplainspower.org

David McDonald Educational Scholarship
Applicants must be current members of High Plains Power or the dependents of current members.  You must have a 3.25 GPA.  Come to the counseling office for an application or go to www.highplainspower.org

Casper Amateur Hockey Club
Any high school senior who has played at least one full season with the Casper Amateur Hockey Club can apply.  Come to the counseling office to pick up an application for this $1000 award.

UW Alumni Association Scholarship
A spring 2010 high school graduate in the top one third of his/her graduating class is eligible for this scholarship. A minimum ACT composite score of 20 and/or minimum SAT combined score of 1100. The UW Alumni Association Scholarship cannot be awarded to students receiving Trustees' Pride scholarships. $1500 awarded annually for four years.  Pick up an application in counseling and then return it to your counselor.

UW Alumni Scholarship for Grandchildren of UW Alumni
Applicants must be a grandchild of a UW Alumni as well as be in top one third of their class and have a 20 ACT or 1100 SAT.  Come to the counseling office for an application.

Conoco Phillips Scholarship
One $3,000.00 Scholarship to a student studying Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Programming.  Students must have a 3.0 GPA or better.  Include a typed letter of interest with your name, phone  number and college or university you’ve been accepted to  also include why you want this scholarship, a list of extra curricular activities: e.g. - work, volunteering, art, music, athletics, clubs and/or organizations, a high school transcript and one letter of recommendation from a Math, Science or Cisco teacher.  Turn this information into the Counseling Office Secretary.

Janice M Scott Memorial Scholarship
Students must have a 2.5 GPA, 2 letters of recommendation, have demonstrated leadership abilities and a 500 -1000 word essay to apply for this $2500 scholarship.  Come to the counseling office for an application.

BigSun Scholarship
The BigSun Organization is proud to be able to continue to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits. We are offering an annual scholarship to a deserving student. All student athletes are eligible for this award, regardless of which sport they are participating in.  Amount of Award is $500.00
